Yesterday we had the pleasure of being interviewed twice on Internet radio programs. The first was on Lorraine Cohen's Powerfull Living Radio. Naturally, we talked business blogging. Since listeners can call in with their questions, this isn't our standard interview.

For your listening pleasure, here's the audio from the show:

Wall Street Journal Features Comments by The Blog Squad

How to pitch bloggers is once again a hot topic. Today's online version of The Wall Street Journal has an article called Attention, Bloggers. And for a little shameless self promotion...I was interviewed for the article! Whoo hoo.

NOTE: If you are not a WSJ subscriber you'll be asked to subscribe. I created a pdf of the article you can download instead. Download Attention Bloggers

Dw_in_wsj_4 There are good case studies of successful blogger pitches including one I submitted from Becky Sciullo about how she and her father, artist Robert Yonke, pitched bluegrass music blogs to promote his paintings of bluegrass musicians.

When I asked Shelly Banjo, the WSJ reporter, how she found me, her response: "Google, of course!"

Dementia Caregiver's Toolbox Blog Wins Award

We love getting good news from our blogging clients. This week we received an email from Susan Lanza, author of The Dementia Caregiver's Toolbox, letting us know her blog had won HealthCentral.com's Top Site Award for Alzheimer sites.

These sites include small Web sites and individual blogs and were chosen based on their candid and informative content.

Susan Lanza recently hired The Blog Squad to do a blog critique and she cites this as part of her success:

If I hadn't reached out to both of you for a blog critique a while back, this certainly would not have happened.  I have implemented almost all of your suggestions, with the most important one being that I do post 2 or 3 times weekly and speak more from my head vs. rehashing news stories.

The award says this about Susan's blog: A great site for news snippits, caregiving tips and product reviews "for professional and family caregivers who want to keep up with the world of dementia care."

We are thrilled with Susan's success.
