A couple of weeks ago I announced that I would pick 2-3 blogs to do quickie blog reviews - a 5-10 minute screencast video to point out a few things bloggers can do to boost the effectivness of their blogs.
I got over 130 entries! As much as I would like to, I just didn't have time to look at every blog that was submitted to decide which to choose. I had my VA create a spreadsheet with all the names and blog URLs and then I used random.org to choose 3 numbers. The winners have to agree to let me post the reviews publicly, here on this blog and on video distribution sites like YouTube and Vimeo, as well as on my Facebook page.
The first blog I've reviewed is the Chronic Illness Coach blog published by Tom Robinson. I went a tad overboard and instead of picking 3-5 things to point out, I gave Tom at least 8 things he can tweak on his blog to make it more effective for his business. Thank you, Tom Robinson, for submitting your blog and letting me share the blog review with your fellow bloggers. [click here if you cannot see the video]

I thought your comments were right on - especially the suggestion to change the theme, add a photograph and to move the search bar up. A couple more thoughts:
- use the "continue" feature to break up long posts and therefore preserve more main page real estate
- add navigation to the bottom of the main page, not just the top
- Retitle "Archives" - call it something like "Previous Posts"
- Add a page called "How to post a comment on this blog" and explain how to do so or show a screen capture video about how to do so.
Your site is an excellent resource for bloggers - thanks for making this information available.
