You've heard me talk and write about this before...everyday I hear from professionals who tell me they can't find time to blog. Yikes! That's like saying they can't find time to talk to prospects and can't find time to generate visibility for their business. If I'm talking about you then please watch this video. I have an assignment for you...(can't see the video in your blog reader? Click here.)
OK, got the assignment? I'm going to check in with you tomorrow to see how you did. Post a comment when you've completed your homework!

Thanks, Denise, for the stern talking-to. I need it and I'm sure I'm not alone. It's on my calendar and I'm committed to create content PLUS tell people on Twitter and Facebook to check out my content. I'll check my statistics at the end of the month to see the change.

I guess I was kind of stern! Remember you can automate functions like letting your twitter followers and Facebook friends know about your blog posts.
For twitter you can use http://www.twitterfeed.com and on Facebook pull in your blog feed using the Notes application.
Love to hear how it goes for you when as you blog more consistently.
Blog on!

Honestly, I do not understand the "I don't have time" excuse. It's a blob, for heaven's sake. The premise is that words are your currency, the way you cultivate a following.
If you don't have the words to spare, perhaps its an issue that has little to do with time. Is the passion there?

Now if that wasn't a slip of some psychological magnitude. Blob=Blog.
Sorry!;-)

Yes, stern. And even a mean look after you said block out the time and do it. But I hear you. I go up and down with my blog posts (as in number of posts) and traffic does slack when there are no new posts.

Hi Denise,
Het Denise,
Yes, your words are so true. Nobody has time for anything anymore, but we all have the same amount; 24 hours every day.
It is simply a matter of priority. To have an online business means you must take the time to have that business.
If you blog, you must post something almost everyday! And video marketing is so powerful so just do it is my advice too.

Hehe.. this made me smile.
We all have 168 hours per week.
What makes the difference between people who are successful or not is what you do with those 168 hours.
I always ask myself : Is what I am doing right now helping my business in any way ?
If not, less than 5 minutes after I'm back on track.
I enjoyed this post ! :)

Thanks Denise. Brilliant advice and I've done just that - blocked out 30-mins every second day for the entire next month. I figure by month's end I'll have written more the Tolstoy!! Thanks again and keep up the stern approach - it works!!

I try to blog on a schedule as well. The day before I post a blog, you'd see me cramming on more research and editing pictures. The problem comes when unexpected things happen, the posting will either be delayed or canceled for next time. Thanks for this tip!
