On every teleseminar we present, with every client for whom we set up a blog, the first thing we tell people is that you need to be reading blogs in your niche. The next question usually is: how do I find blogs in my niche?
There are many blog directories you can search, like Technorati which indexes over 100,000,000 blogs. Or Google's blog search feature. And, there's Alltop.com.
Alltop.com is the brain-child of Guy Kawasaki (author, speaker, humorist, venture capitalist). The site bills itself as an "online magazine rack" of popular stories. They aggregate the top blogs on hundreds of niche topics:
We help you explore your passions by collecting stories from “all the top” sites on the web. We’ve grouped these collections — “aggregations” — into individual Alltop sites based on topics such as environment, photography, science, Muslim, celebrity gossip, military, fashion, gaming, sports, politics, automobiles, and Macintosh. At each Alltop site, we display the headlines of the latest stories from dozens of sites and blogs.
So, if you're looking for blogs about Cheese or Romance Novels or Leadership, you'll find a comprehensive list to explore, plus everything else in between. This blog was even listed in the Blogging category!
Think your blog should be included? You can submit it to Alltop for consideration.
Before you add your blog, check out this interview with Guy Kawasaki on Marketing Voices, my favorite marketing podcast.

Denise, you've done it again. You've read my mind. I just heard of Alltop for the first time, now you've filled me in completely.
BTW, because of a video you shot at Blogworld, David Bullock is my new best friend.
See you on twitter.

Alltop does the work for you. For example, if you're looking for good blogs about content marketing, search for Content Marketing. They list the Top 42 blogs about content marketing, including our own WritingontheWeb.com, #3 on the list.
