Now that I've been sucked into Facebook, I'm spending way too much time poking around the site and checking out all my friends and who of their friends I can invite to be my friend.
I have noticed something about the bloggers on Facebook. A lot of them do not have any links to their blogs, at least that I can find. Did you know you can have your blog posts show up on your profile for all to read?
I quickly figured that out. If you have a Facebook profile and you have a blog, check out my profile to see what I mean.
To set up your feed to be imported into your profile, you need to set up a "note." Under Applications on the left sidebar, you'll see one for Notes.
What you'll see first is a page of posts, mostly imported blog posts from your friends. To set up your own,
click on "My Notes" at the top of the page.
On the right side bar it says "Note Settings" and there's a link to import an external blog.
You submit your blog's RSS feed and you're ready to roll. Facebook will automatically update your Notes page when you post new content on your blog.
Adding your blog feed will not prevent you from manually adding notes to your profile as well.

Excellent post.
I just wonder how many people are using bots to add friends to their network.

Hi Denise -
Thanks for the great tip. I followed the steps and cannot see the notes on my home page in Facebook. Are the notes on another page or do I need to reconfigure my Facebooki home page?
Thanks.

If Notes are not showing up on your profile, you need to edit your Applications (usually on the top of your left sidebar).
Next to Applications, click on the Edit link.
You'll see a list of all the applications associated with your profile. Find Notes and click on Edit Settings.
You'll need to check off where you want the notes to show up and then save. Done.

And of course let's not forget the good old link share feature. Use it wisely and encourage forwarding and it can become the best traffic driving tool of them all

Thanks Denise, I have just imported my blogs - your instructions were spot on and it only took me a few seconds. (Otherwise I would have spent ages trying to find the way and probably given up in frustration.)
