Business Blog Results: $875,000 generated so far this year...
We love to hear your success stories, and get all puffed up and teary eyed when when one of our beloved clients goes down the road to business blogging glory...
Denise and I were blown away by this email from client Mark Siegel, Managing Director, Golfasian Co. Ltd. His blog is the ThailandGolfZone.com. I don't even golf, but I love reading Mark's blog about golf and tourism over in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Evidently so do a lot of other people who have become great customers. Here's Mark's story:
"Hi, Patsi and Denise,
How are things going? I see that you continue to do great work on business bogging and I wanted to share another success story with you.
This week, the blog that you and the Blog Squad help set up for me, the Thailand Golf Zone, reached it's 300th post! This major milestone highlights the usefulness of my business blog to connect with clients, provide accurate and timely information on our product, services and market, and most of all generate credibility and respect for my company across the globe.
Being a business located half way around the world from most of our clients the single biggest hurdle I face in closing new business is that of trust! Towards this end, the Thailand Golf Zone has enabled me to develop relationships with prospects that goes far beyond that of other businesses doing business only using more conventional techniques.
Based on new client feedback, over 85% of prospects read and/or subscribe to my blog before choosing to do business with my Thailand golf travel company, www.golfasian.com.
Furthermore, an amazing 50% of new clients say the very fact that we have and maintain this useful communications tool is one of the top reasons why they choose to book their Thailand golf vacation with Golfasian over other agents for their Thailand golf vacation!
Needless to say while running at an annual turnover in the $2-3 Million range and year to date growth of 70% (by far the fastest in the industry), it does not take a rocket scientist to estimate the value of the Thailandgolfzone at around $875,000 in new orders this year alone!!!!
On an internal note, our sales advisors report that they can find over 75% of the answers to new client questions covered in one or more blog postings. Rather than answer each client question by e-mail they simply mention the relevant post to the client which then can be read online.
This again helps to develop trust between clients and our company by providing far more information to the client that could possibly be contained in a one off e-mail.
Additionally, it provides a uniformity of response so all clients have the same accurate and up-to-date information, thereby enhancing communications quality throughout my organization. This last point, while seemingly minor, is actually quite important for a small growing business where the owner can no longer do all client communications and sales himself.
In summary, I want to thank you, Denise and Patsi, for helping me create the Thailand Golf Zone, by far the best business blog in the industry and single most important tipping item for my business success!
Best Regards,
Mark Siegel
