What is the optimal number of technorati tags to add to your blog posts?
I ask because I really don't know. I've seen posts with a lot of tags; I've seen posts with only a few. From an aesthetic and readability perspective, in my opinion, fewer are better. When I see 5 or more tags, what I see is a big block of text that is difficult to read. I tend to go for 2-3 key words that are relevant to the content.
What's your opinion? How many tags do you typically add and why?

I finally found a way to easily create a mobile feed for blogs. FeedM8 is a free service that converts your blog's feed into a mobile feed that can deliver your blog posts to mobile users. We love getting good news from our blogging clients. This week we received an email from Susan Lanza, author of The Dementia Caregiver's Toolbox, letting us know her blog had won HealthCentral.com's Top Site Award for Alzheimer sites.
These sites include small Web sites and individual blogs and were chosen based on their candid and informative content.
Susan Lanza recently hired The Blog Squad to do a blog critique and she cites this as part of her success:

The conversation about blog comments continues on Patsi's blog, CoachEzines. Patsi has posted about how to AVOID negative comments completely. Of course being bland, mediocre, and having no opinion could also result in no readers at all so I guess you would't have to worry about negative comments -- you wouldn't have any!

In our Better Business Blogging class yesterday, we were talking about outreach: how to connect with other bloggers to drive more traffic. This includes commenting on blogs and how you respond on your own blog to comments.
One of the features NOT on TypePad blogs is the ability to subscribe to comments so you can follow a particular conversation and get notified when someone leaves a comment to something you commented on. Patsi found several sites that allow you to add some code or plug-in so your readers can track comments:

Hot on the heels of my last post about how to deal with negative comments, via a post on Copyblogger, I was directed to a post by 4-Hour Workweek Author Tim Ferriss about how to deal with hostile commentors.
Ferriss, of course is really well-known now and with a bestselling book, the hostile ones come out of the woodwork. Most of us business bloggers won't experience what he has had to deal with. His post The 7 Commandments of Blogosphere (and Life) Self-Defense is a must-read for some good, common-sense advice on how to deal with negativity and attacks.

One of the most frequently asked questions we get from people before they start blogging is: what do I do about negative or inapproriate comments? My answer, in a nutshell, is "don't worry, comments are your friend." Well, I don't say exactly that, but it's true.
On the webcast I did for Wells Fargo last week, this question came up once again from a viewer. And then, the same day, we got an email from someone who had read our new white paper on online marketing challenges, about how to deal with negative comments.
One question that I'm struggling with right now is how to deal with the tails [trolls], i.e. how to avoid that people don't become too aggressive/abusive in their comments to blogs.

Franchise King Gets Blog Improvement Plan on Video from California Blog Squad
