"I've already changed some of the blog post titles to take better advantage of keywords. The next thing I will do is make better linkage between my website and blog."
Dementia Caregivers Blog Gets Home Improvement Plan from California Blog Squad
(San Diego, CA) July 25, 2007 - Susan Lanza is a New Jersey nursing home administrator who helps families of dementia patients cope with challenges. She started a blog, TheDementiaCaregiver'sToolbox where she shares her daily experiences as a professional caregiver in order to help families and others with long term care issues.
"I knew my blog needed improvement and I needed the experts to help me, so I turned to the Blog Squad," says Ms. Lanza.
So she called in The Blog Squad for a blog critique. The Blog Squad is a team of blogging experts in California, Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff, Psy.D. They delivered their blogging advice via screen cast video to Ms. Lanza in New Jersey who is making suggested improvements.
"I've already changed some of the blog post titles to take better advantage of keywords. The next thing I will do is make better linkage between my website and blog," adds Ms. Lanza. She started the blog because she felt there was a need to help professional and untrained dementia caregivers keep up with information.
Ms. Lanza is author of " Nurturing Nuggets: 25 Supportive Strategies in Caring for Persons with Dementia." Dementia affects roughly a quarter of those hospitalized yet most professionals and families are not formally trained or prepared for the challenges.
With her blog, Ms. Lanza hopes to spread more information for those affected. In order for it to work, however, she needed to reach more readers.
"Often professionals lack blog marketing savvy to get good results from a blog," explains Ms. Wakeman. "We do a complete analysis of the blog's usability, branding, design, content and search engine optimization. We make clear suggestions for improving the blog for business results. "
The Blog Squad uses screen cast videos to deliver detailed analysis of a business blog, what works, and what needs to be changed. With video technology they can deliver services through the Internet anywhere in the world.
