Last week I posted that TypePad has finally given us the ability to add stand alone pages on your blog. Yeah! So, have you started using this feature?
We'd love to see some examples so we can direct our clients to your blog.
I set up a page on my personal blog, Slim People in Progress. I'm starting a training program to run a half-marathon in October. I'm training with Team in Training and part of my commitment is to raise $3,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I set up a page vs. a post to explain why I'm doing this program.
With the page, there are no comments or links in the footer -- there's no footer. I could also name the URL for the page what I wanted rather than be stuck with a default TypePad URL (Dassana Jayalath comments on this). Then, I added the link to a TypeList that is about my marathon training. It's at the top of my right sidebar so most readers can't miss it. So far I haven't received any donations from blog readers, but that will probably change as I start blogging about my training experience over the next five months.
I digress. I'd love to see how you or others you know about, are using the new page feature in TypePad.
