When you started blogging, what were your conceptions about blogs? Did you see them as a marketing tool?

Though I had been aware of and reading blogs in the political arena, I hadn't really thought about them as a business tool. It took me about a minute after setting up my first blog to realize what a powerful marketing tool for business a blog could be.
