Do you tag your blog posts? Do you know what a tag is? We'd like to find out.
Tags have been around for awhile and I've been aware of and intermittently using them. But not consistently, mainly because I haven't taken the time to figure out how and why they work. So we want to know if others are in the same boat we are. Take the poll and then post a comment below about why you do or do not use tags.
Last week I came across a free report about tagging and have permission to distribute it here. Take some time to read it over. This is a dynamite way to drive traffic to your blog AND it takes time and dedication to the process.

Thanks for the report. I'll try to take time to read it tonight or with tomorrow's coffee.
I frankly habe never seen the sense of fiddling with tags, especially since I've never been able to make much use of them. The few times I've tried to find something on Technorati or any other "service" I've found that the tags that exist don't really relate much to the subject matter that's tagged. Perhaps I could learn better.

Don't know why you *wouldn't* tag. For the sake of my weblog, tags actually make more sense than categories.

Properly tagging your substantive posts is a great way to drive traffic to your blog. Sign up with del.icio.us, Yahoo!MyWeb or furl, learn their systems and jump in.
Tagging is an easy way (without using folders/subfolders) to organize information you want to keep or reference later. Tags are also a great for marketing your blog/site to audiences looking for information about your niche (for example, would I follow/subscribe to a tag feed for "BlackBerry" if I wasn't interested in BlackBerries? Probably not.) Sharing tags and subscribing to tag feeds is also a very effective way to stay abreast of current content, information and discussions that you want to follow.
So, IMHO, tag it!
