I just learned about a cool new widget you can add to your blog. Via the TypePad Hacks blog I learned about MajikWidget which offers 3 widgets to put on your blog: a poll, a post rating system, and a way to make your links open in a new window. The widgets are free. You do have to register so you can access the code for your blog.
I've created a Poll which I would love for you to fill out. The whole process took about 5 minutes to set up. A poll is a great way to drive traffic and create content for your blog or website. And you can learn a lot about your readers.

Interesting survey.
They key in business blogging is choosing the right platform and keeping the content targeted. It is better to have multiple blogs based on topics that cover a wide range of issues than all in one place.
I am covering a lot of these details in my FREE course Blogging For Profits. Lesson 3 will be out today. The first lessons are posted at www.stevereports.com

I think that business people think more and more about blogs for multiple applications within companies. But not necessarily for marketing purpose.
I created my blog less than 6 months ago. People like it but they don't comment. Now I don't understand why. I assume that it may be related to the type of the audience and the topic of my blog. One of my reader told me that independant consultants don't like to share their tips about marketing their practice.
May be every blogger meets this problem: "high resistence for commenting".

I've been blogging now for 7+ months and am discovering that my blog is "morphing" into two or three, maybe four, different areas--my primary business (and Blog to Book project), an event type of blog, products/service review blog in an area of specialty and passion for me, and a biz travel type of blog.
Ironically, although a separate entity, each blog is still connected (strange as that may sound).
Phew. Anyone out there offering a fast-track blogging teleclass? :)

Question...do you know if this widget can be syndicated, i.e. can I post a poll to my blog and then one of my readers sees the poll and wants to syndicate it on their blog...if they post the same poll would/could the results be aggregated to the same place? Let me know if you have the answer, thanks.
