And the debate continues - to blog or not to blog - as more and more people inside of corporations are starting blogs for themselves. What happens when an employee writes something perceived as critical of the corporation? What happens when they reveal themselves as intelligent, resourceful, and attractive human beings?
Don't miss Des Walsh's blog post here, about Blogging and Work, Risks and Opportunities. Des includes lots of links to articles on both sides of the equation.
Also worthy of reading is Scott Allen and David Teten's article on the Fast Company Networking site. Jobblogging has an intriguing tagline:
"The next time you search for a job, your blog may be more important than your résumé."
It provides a valuable list of do's and don'ts for jobseekers, concluding: "With your expertise, some decent writing skills and a little bit of common sense, your blog can be a powerful tool for finding your next job."
We repeat, corporate employee or not, use your 2nd amendment rights and BLOG ON! Hopefully you are intellegent enough to know how to do this wisely.
