Do you know what a splog is? Kind of like it sounds: a spam blog (read wikipedia definition here). Our article, 16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog, was recently discovered on a splog. You can read about it on Patsi's CoachEzines blog.
It's important to note that in fact we did post the article on lots of article directories and that it can legitimately be used by publishers in their ezines and on their blogs. The point here is that the blog in question appears to be a spam blog which has as its only intention to "increase the PageRank of the affiliated sites and/or get ad impressions from visitors." However, even that is not clear. There is no information about the author, there is no way to comment, and there are no ads on the site, so what is the purpose of the blog? It's a mystery to me.
