Ran across a post on Debbie Weil's blog on Blogging 101 tips that led me to a really great post on writing tips. The writing tips are geared toward writing a political blog, and the tips, in my opinion apply really to writing for any type of blog.
A couple that stand out from the 17 tips are:
- Promote your blog ceaselessly.
- Use the titles of your posts carefully.
- Give credit where it's due
If you're still in the getting started stages of blogging or want a refresher course, review these excellent tips.

Hey! Thanks for noticing! And don't forget the most important piece of advice - never blog drunk. :)

Love the "never blog drunk" tip. Cute!
Another tips: Proof your copy!!!
Oh, goodness, I posted something, and I left out the word. "not." Absolutely awful. Thank goodness, one of my astute readers pointed my horrific mistake out to me! Yikes, this expert I was quoting was not recommending Splenda -- BUT with the "not" left out, it looked like I was. (I've dug up all kinds of scary info about it.)
It's just so easy to post, it's easy to pass upon proofreading -- something I'm trying to train myself to do pronto!
FYI, one of the recent posts here contains a really cute grammatical error!
Darn, we're all human, and golly, it's so easy to err! LOL!
By the way, I'm new to your blog -- cool site!

Yikes!!!!! .....Sure enough, I didn't follow my own advice!!! I said "another tips" instead of "another tip." Laugh with me at my silly mistake!!!
