Non-Techie Explanation of RSS

BL Ochman of What's Next Online, has an excellent explanation of RSS feeds (Really Simple Syndication) in her current ezine online.

Essentially, RSS is a technology that allows website publishers to make their headlines and summaries of their content available through a syndicated "feed" that users can subscribe to receive. Users then view the feed with the help of an RSS reader like Bloglines or Feed Demon.

BL also writes the What's Next Blog (one of my favorites that I read nearly everyday), and is featured in our Build A Better Blog System: Interviews with Successful Bloggers.
